Welcome to the new blog for UConn’s Instructional Resource Center (IRC). The IRC, located in CUE 422 on the Storrs campus, assists faculty at all UConn’s campuses with all their instructional technology needs. We provide extensive training and support services for HuskyCT, our learning management system. The IRC staff helps instructors design their HuskyCT site to enhance their course, build in the elements you’ve chosen to use with your students, and manage day to day tasks such as entering grades or accessing quiz results. We also assist instructors with video editing projects, creating and editing audio (MP3) files, developing effective PowerPoints, creating Flash tutorials, and utilizing various Web 2.0 technologies with their teaching. Our goal is to be your resource for identifying and implementing technologies that can best help you achieve your teaching and learning objectives. Set up a time for a consult, share your ideas with us, and we’ll help you put all the pieces together.
This blog is intended for sharing information about new technologies with educational applications or new applications for familiar technologies. Please give us your feedback. Let us know how various technologies presented here have worked for you or let us know about other technologies you’ve used or would like to learn more about.
Thank you!
